Climate targets

During 2021 we established the Group’s climate targets, which support the Paris Agreement and its important goal in the fight against climate change:

  1. We shall reduce our CO2e emissions by 50 per cent no later than 2030, compared to 2021.

  2. We shall be climate-neutral no later than 2035, in line with Finland’s climate policy decision.

  3. We shall achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Climate strategy

To enable the Bank of Åland to achieve the climate targets it has established, we need a climate strategy which ensures that we take continuous steps to reduce our emission. This strategy will be established during 2022.
