Climate targets

During 2021 we established the Group’s climate targets, which support the Paris Agreement and its important goal in the fight against climate change:

  1. We shall reduce our CO2e emissions by 50 per cent no later than 2030, compared to 2021.

  2. We shall be climate-neutral no later than 2035, in line with Finland’s climate policy decision.

  3. We shall achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Climate strategy

The Bank takes continuous steps towards reducing its emissions in order to achieve the established climate targets. Our climate strategy was established in 2022 and is updated yearly or whenever needed.
